Alvin Charles Stinson Sr.

Alvin C. Stinson Sr.- Services were held Saturday March 19, 2016 for Mr. Alvin Charles Stinson Sr., 58, of Youngstown, Oh., who departed this life on Tuesday March 15, 2016 at his residence. Mr Stinson was born January 15, 1958 in Montgomery, Alabama, a son of Eddie Lee Stinson and Hattie Gray-Warr. He worked at Mahoning County Jobs and Family Services for over 38 years and retired in 2014. Alvin was always a pleasant person to be around always smiling and making others laugh, he loved to talk to people those he knew and those he didn't know. He was a home body once he retired and he spent a lot of his time cruising in his Cadillac and spending time with his family; he was all about his family. He also was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. He loved those Steelers, but most of all he loved animals, he would nurse some back to life, feed the neighbors dog and cats just any animal that he could help he helped. He leaves to cherish his memory his lovely wife Phyllis Stinson of Youngstown, a son, Alvin Charles Stinson Jr., a daughter, Devalynn Searcy of Youngstown,a nephew percy Phillips whom he reared, 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren all of Youngstown; 4 sisters, Sandra Stinson, Latoya Stinson, Kecia Warr of Cleveland, and Barbara Stinson of Atlanta, GA., a step sister, Michelle Colyar of Yougstown, 4 brothers, Gregory (Ramonita) Smith, Lorenzo (Tiffany) Perkins of Youngstown, and Eddie Lee (Glenda) Stinson Jr., of Atlanta, GA., Jerimiah Stinson of Montgomery Ala., and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces,  nephews,  cousins whom he cherished and loved. He is preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents John & Hattie Gray, his great-grandparents, Herberrt & Mamie Moncrief and nephew Ramon E. Smith.
