Beatrice Marie Harris

Beatrice M. Harris- Funeral services will be held on Monday February 22, 2016 at 12 noon, at Rising Star Baptist Church, for Mrs. Beatrice Marie Harris, 77, Youngstown, who departed this life on Tuesday February 16, 2016 in Hospice of the Valley. Beatrice was born May 6, 1938, in Youngstown, a daughter of Jasper and Minnie E. Livas Forte. She was a social worker for Mahoning County Job & Family Services, charter member of the church, Usher board, choir, and former Church Treasurer. She was also a member of The Mahoning County Drug Board. She created and produced, The Ebony Radio Show. She was also a hostess of Ebony Life Life's Team.  She leaves Lura (Kateeka) Harris Jr.,of Arlington, TX., Phillip (Rose) Harris and Mark Harris of Youngstown, Elsie (Charles) Rhodes, and Samuel (Odessa) Livas of Youngstown. She also leaves 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son; Dwayne Harris, and a sister Ruby Drummond. Friends may call from 11 am to 12 noon at the church. Arrangments are being handled by the F. D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home, Inc.
