Cleo Sammons

Cleo Sammons- Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 25, 2016,  at the F.D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home.Inc., for Mrs. Cleo Sammons, 84, who departed this life on Friday August 19, 2016, at Caprice Health Care Center. Mrs. Sammons was born February 22, 1932, in Luverne, Ala., a daughter of Ed and Verdia Davis Mallory. She was a homemaker and attended the New Bethel Baptist Church. Her husband, William T. Sammons, whom she married January of 1961, died March 28, 2015. She leaves her children, Arthur (Gina) Mallory Jr., of Celera, Ala., William V. Sammons of Youngstown, Leon Sammons of Akron, Ricky L. (Tish) Sammons of Himesville, Ga., and David Sammons of Columbus; sisters, Delores Dawson and Mamie (Henry) Provitt, all of Warren, and Rebecca Caldwell of Luverne; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Carol A. Jackson; 5 sisters; and 8 brothers. Friends may call from 10 am to 11 am on Thursday, at the funeral home.
