Clifford Warren Anderson

Clifford W. Anderson-Funeral Services will be 12 noon,Thursday, at Triedstone Baptist Church,  for Mr. Clifford W. Anderson, 79, Cleveland, formerly of Youngstown who departed this life on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at his residence.

Mr. Anderson was born July 22, 1938, in Youngstown, a son of Theodore and  Rosalee Friendly Anderson. He was a 1956 graduate of North High School where he excelled in football and on the track team. His senior year in 1955, Clifford played in the State Championship football game in Massillon, Ohio.  On March 8, 1958, Clifford married Dorothy Virginia Wolf. Clifford was a skilled professional carpenter belonging to the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local #435.  In 1983, he moved to Cleveland Ohio and became the co-owner of Goddess Hair and Nails Beauty Salon until his health started to fail. Mr. Anderson always looked forward to the Sharonline Reunion. He prepared the best BBQ and had his own special recipe. He loved to listen to jazz music and was a member of Triedstone Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his daughters, Cheryl Whitlow, and Crystal Anderson, a son; Clifford S. Anderson, 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers; Norman and John Grant, and Theodore Anderson, 2 sisters; Pauline Nolan and Kathleen Carson. Friends may call from 11 am to 12 noon at the church. Funeral arrangements are being handled by F. D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home, Inc.
