Cynthia M. Wilson Callier- Funeral services will be held at 10 am, on Monday at the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church for Mrs. Cynthia "Rita" Merthia Wilson Callier, who departed this life on Sunday, September 4, 2016, at Valleycare Nortside Medical Center. Mrs. Callier was born March 12, 1953, in Brent, Ala., a daughter of James Davis-Wilson and Fannie M. Huff Wilson. She retired from General Motors of Lordstown in 2009. She was a graduate of South High School in 1971, and went to graduate from Rio Grande College in Business Management. Mrs. Callier was a volunteer for United Way, Easter Seals, United Auto Workers, ACTION FAMM. She leaves her mother, Fannie Callier, son; Andre D. (Sheila) Bundy, a sister; Tyra (Joseph) Brodie; nephew Tariton (Michelle) Callier, a great-nephew, Dominique Callier, whom she reared; 4 grandchildren Ahniyah Jones, Jonathan and Jerrell Wiggins, and A'Layah Cornwell; nieces; Dawn Callier, Tiara and Sharenda Whatley and Shawntee Dennis; nephews; Jamar Callier, Kenneth Whatley Jr., Tremond Naze; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father; stepfather James Callier Sr., a sister, Shirley Callier; and brother James Callier. Friends may call from 9 am to 10 am on Monday at the church.
