Emma Ballard Wilson

Emma Ballard-Wilson-Funeral services were held Saturday March 12, 2016 at 10 am, at the Bethel Church of God in Christ, for Emma Ballard-Wilson, 91, who departed this life on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Valleycare Northside Medical Center. Mrs Ballard-Wilson was born, May 28,1924 in Youngstown, a daughter of Kelly and Willie L. Carter Everett. She was a nutritionist for the Ohio State Extension Services and then was an outreach worker for the Urban League, MYCAP and the United Methodist Community Center. She was the mother of Commandment Keepers, a graduate of South High School and Youngstown College. She leaves her husband of over 40 years, Robert Lee Wilson, children; Kelley M. (Linda) Ballard, Randolph (Evelyn) Ballard, David, Julia and Michael Ballard, all of Youngstown and Johnathan Balllard of Pamona, Calif., 25 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Willia Jean Ballard, and a sister Queenie Powell.
