Fred A. Ahart Sr.- Funeral services will be 11 am, Monday, at the F. D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., for Mr. Fred A. Ahart Sr., 80, Youngstown, who departed this life on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Louis Stokes Veterans Hospital, Cleveland. Mr. Ahart was born December 6, 1936 in Warren, Oh., a son of Frank A. and Etha Carter Ahart Sr. He worked for Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co., was a foreman for Electro General Plastics, worked at Progressive Field with Cleveland Indians. He was an Army Veteran. He leaves his wife, the former Geraldine Bevly; children, Denise L. Ahart, Fred A. Ahart Jr., both of Youngstown, and Cheryl L. Ahart of Fort Lauderdale, FL., a sister: Foresteen Richardson of Youngstown: a brother, Frankie (Vickie) Rhodes of Vallejo,CA., a special friend, Ora Jean McWhorter and family of Cleveland, Oh., 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Patricia J. Ahart: 3 brothers, Frank A. Jr., Elmer Sr., and William A. Ahart: a sister Afaretta Thomas: and 2 grandchildren. Friends may call from 10 am to 11 and at the funeral home.
