Gloria Jean Hight

Gloria J. Hight -Funeral services will be held on Monday August 22, 2016, at 12 noon, at Third Baptist Church, for Mrs. Gloria Jean Hight, 62, Youngstown, who departed this life on Monday, August 15, 2016, at Norsthside Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Hight was born on November 30, 1953, in Fairhope, Alabama, a daughter of James and Mattie Tucker. She graduated from South High School in 1971, and attended YSU, graduating with her BS in Community Health and her BSN in Nursing. She worked at Northside Medical Center for 8 years. She married the love of her life, Thomas N. Hight Sr. on December 21, 1974, and their marriage was filled with love for  41 wonderful years. She was a member of Third Baptist Church. She enjoyed being with her family and giving to those in need was her passion in life. She was a loving wife, mother and friend to many. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, daughter, Leslie M. Hight, twin sons, Thomas N. Hight Jr., and Trenton N. Hight Sr,.  2 grandchildren; Kiya N. Hight and Trenton Hight Jr., all of Youngstown; an uncle, Jesse Carter of Youngstown, a father-in-law; Ernest M. Hight Sr., of Youngstown, a brother; Romeo Cooper of Pritchard, Ala., and a sister Phyllis Miller of Newark, NJ., also two special friends; Rose Jasper and Arlene Floyd both in Youngstown, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her mother; Addie Mabel Mosley, her adoptive parents; an aunt Cora Carter who helped rear her. Friends may call from 11 am to 12 noon at the church.  In lieu of flowers, the family request that you make donations to the funeral home.
