Ida M. Burney-Services will be Friday October 16, 2015 at 10 am-12 noon at F. D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home, Inc for Mrs Ida Mae Burney, 98, Youngstown  who departed this life on Saturday October 10, 2015 at Hospice House. Mrs Burney was born on September 16,1917 in Dry Branch, GA, to Theo & Julia Fitzpatrick Tharpe. She was a homemaker and a former member of Third Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory  2 daughters: Mary (Rev. Nathaniel) DuBose, and Geneva (Jerome) Hartley all of Youngstown, a sister: Mattie Giles of Chicago, sister-n-laws: Ida Tharpe of Youngstwn and Ollie Tharpe of Macon, GA.,8 grandchildren, a host of great-great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter: Katherine Hart, a son Melvin Burney, sisters: Mary E., Susie, Ada, Lillian Tharpe and Susie Smith, brothers: Thad, Ben L., Tom, Robert, and Willie Tharpe.
