Inez Peterson

Inez Peterson-Together Again-Mrs. Inez Peterson, 89, departed this life on Friday December 18, 2015 at Briarfield of Ashley Circle. Mrs. Peterson was born May 19, 1926, in Malvern, Ohio, a daughter of James and Alpha Jane Lashley Buie Shaw. She came to this area as a child. She was married to the late Isaac Pererson and to the union they had one daughter. She worked as a domestic engineer for many years, until her health began to fail her. Inez was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church of Campbell for over 70 years. She enjoyed traveling with her family, playing cards, shopping, and just enjoying life. Inez leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter; Rebecca (Jesse) Thomas Sr. of Youngstown, a brother; Arthur L. Buie, two sisters; Orabell Shorter, and Delois (Arthur) Lemons Sr., all of Youngstown, a sister-in-law; Dorothy Shaw of Milwaukee, 5 grandchildren; Jesse Thomas Jr., of Columbus, Jeffery Thomas and Christine Thomas, both of Youngstown, Jerome Thomas of Clarksville, Tenn., and James (Theresa) Thomas of New Castle, PA., 14 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband the late Isaac Peterson, her parents, 6 brothers; James Shaw, John Buie, Woodie Shaw, Ronald Buie, Sylvester Buie, and Archie Shaw, 1 sister; Willie Mae McCarter, and 1 great-great-granddaughter; Jaliyah Thomas.  The family thanks the staff of Briarfield of Ashley Circle for their excellent care. Friends may call from 10 to 11 am on Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are being handled by the F. D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home, Inc.
