James E. Scott-Funeral services will be held Monday December 28, 2015,  at 12 noon, at Fellowship Church Of God in Christ in Struthers for Mr. James E. Scott,  84, who departed this life Monday December 21, 2015, at the Park Center Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Scott was born on July 23, 1931, Youngstown, a son of Bishop Frazier and Naomi L. Driscoll Scott. He worked for Youngstown Sheet and Tube and was a faithful member of Triumph, The Church of the New Age, where he served as a deacon and a musician for the church. He also sang with various quartets in the Youngstown area. He leaves a stepdaughter; Barbara (Leroy) Taber of Columbus, a brother; Richard L. (Mary) Scott; a sister-in-law; Anita Scott of Youngstown, and LaVera Scott of Buffalo, NY., a grandson; Zachis (Jessica) Willis, a great-grandson; of Columbus, devoted cousin; Rev. Walter D. (Geraldine) McCorr of Beaver Falls, PA., and nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers; John, Bernard, Morris, and Wesley Scott, and a sister; Mrs. Alvaretta Johnson. The family would like to thank the staff members at Park Center Health Care and Select Specialty Hospital for their constant and attentive care for our loved one. Friends may call from 11 am to 12 noon on Monday at the Fellowship Church of God in Christ, 115 Frank Street in Struthers, were Pastor Richard E. Kimbrough will officiate the service. Arrangements are being handled by the F. D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home Inc.
