Jeff Clinkscale

Jeff Clinkscale-Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2016, at the New Bethel Baptist Church, for Mr. Jeff Clinckscale, 87, who departed this life on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at Valleycare Northside Medical Center.

Mr. Clinkscale was born August 18, 1929, in Youngstown, a son of Henry and Mattie Anderson Clinkscale Sr. He attended Youngstown City Schools and was a graduate of The Rayen School. He was a 35 year member of the Buckeye Elks Lodge No. 73, where he served as the House Chairman, Lecturing Knight and trustee. He was a member of the Past State President's Club, served as Chairman of the Credentialing Department in the Ohio State Association and was a Past Grand Exalted Ruler. He was a craneman for U.S. Steel and was a faithfull member of the church.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, the former Bertha White, whom he married August 5, 1992; 6 children, Lord Godvail, Linda Jenkins, Wendy (Nick) Clark, Bonnie Clinkscale, and Karen (Sandy) Perkins, all of Youngstown, and Lisa (Tracey) Bowler of Upper Marlboro, MD., 2 stepchildren, Cynthia Boatwright McWilson, of Youngstown and Darren (Wanda) Boatwright of Mansfield; a brother, Albert Clinkscale, 2 sisters; Alberta Toney and Hattie Woods, all of Youngstown; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren ; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Theodore "Booley" Clinkscale and Rev. Henry Clinkscale Jr., and 3 sisters; Mary Bess, Rosabelle Dubose, and Mattie P. Tate. Friends may call from 10 am to 11 am thursday at the church.
