Mary E. Davis-Funeral service will be 11 am Monday, at the Zion Missionary Baptist Church, for Mrs. Mary E. Prescott Davis, 92, who departed this life on June 11, 2018, in Omni Manor Nursing And Rehabilitation Center in Youngstown, Ohio.
Mrs. Davis was born July 12, 1925, in Clay, Texas, a daughter of Benjamin "Johnny" and Cora Brown Johnson. She was the product of Michigan school system, a homemaker, a member of the church, was a Sunday School Teacher, a member of the nurse's guild, and the church janitor. She leaves a brother, Rev. Ross Johnson of Oakland, CA., nieces, Frances Harris, Johnnie Black, Christine Jefferson, nephew, Terry Johnson, all of whom she reared, an a host of other neices, nephews, and  relatives and friends. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rev. James Davis Sr., siblings, Alvin, Tass, Johnny, Robert, Clinnon, Nettie B., Catherine, Viola, Emma, Cora,  and Adele, a niece, Delores, and a nephew, Alonzo. Friends may call from 10 am to 11 am at the church. Arrangements were entrusted to F. D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., in Youngstown, Ohio and Evans and Browne Funeral Home in Saginaw, MI.
