Naomi "Nai" B Oates

Naomi B. Oates-Funeral service will be 12 noon Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at Third Baptist Church for Mrs. Naomi B. Oates, 88, Youngstown, departed this life on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 in Omni Manor Health Center. 

Mrs. Oates was born October 9, 1930 in Patrick, SC., a daughter of John A. and Dolly Johnson Black. She was an accountant for  United Methodist Community Center, was a member of the church for over 60 years, and a member of the  Missionary, Crusaders, and Sunday school classes. and was on the Board of directors for Mill Creek Community Center. She leaves her daughter: Sylvia E. Jackson, a brother: MacArthur Black, 2 grandchildren: Theodore (Shawntae) and Tracie Jackson, and 3 great-grandchildren: Breshawn, Brandon and Brian.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Azor and Aaron Black. Friends may call from 11 am to 12 noon on Wednesday at the church.
