Ossie Ola Kennedy

Ossie Ola (Timpson) Kennedy, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025. Ossie was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and auntie to many as well as the matriarch of her family.

She was born on November 24,1939, in Youngstown, Ohio; the daughter of Willie and Daisy Timpson.

Ossie attended the Rayen School. She had a long fulfilling career as a seamstress. Early on in her career she also ran a dry cleaners on the Northside of Youngstown, Ohio. She was very passionate about sewing as well as cooking. She absolutely loved cooking for her family specially on holidays. Thanksgiving was her absolute favorite. Ossie adored her family and enjoyed watching sports while spending time with family. But her all time favorite thing to do was DANCE!!

Ossie leaves to carry on her legacy her daughters Jacquline Kennedy, Marcela Smith, Tenise Kennedy, and Patreas (Michael) Austin; her son Mewin Kennedy; grandchildren, Paul Bean, Le'Jean Walker, Dominick Kennedy, Tevin Bocker, Ray'Shon Smith, Reji Niece Belcher (Brandon Reid), Keith Kennedy, Ray Lynn Howard and Eryck Fletcher. She also Leaves her great grandchildren BrajiNiece Reid, Ke'Shon Reid as well as 12 others, a host of nieces and nephews, her sister Fannie Byrd and Godson Robert Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Merion Kennedy, her daughter Marian Howard, and other family members to include Robert Timpson, Eugene Timpson, Clarence Timpson, 11 Timpson, Joe Timpson, Dorthey Mosley and Beulah Wright.

A homegoing service will be held 12:00 P.M. Thursday October 2, 2025 at F.D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home , a visitation with the family will be held 11:00 to 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
