Rev. Lillian "Cleo'' Cottle-Ridel-Funeral services will be held at 1 pm, on Monday at the F.D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., for Rev. Lillian Cottle-Ridel, affectionately known as "Cleo", 78, who departed this life on Sunday, December 11, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Rev. Cottle-Ridel was born August 16, 1938, in Lafayette, Ala., a daughter of George and Catherine Brooks Jordan. She was a homemaker, attended Youngstown State University, majoring in Psychology, and was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Caramel. She leaves her husband, Joseph Ridel, whom she married March 21, 2008; children, James (Maude) Cottle IV, Ernest Sr., "Big E" (Barbara) Cottle, George Cottle, Brenda Heath, Gail Hubbert and Anner Cottle Holland, all of Youngstown; stepchildren, Emmett Williams of Norfolf, VA., and Colerre Williams of Youngstown; siblings James (Robin) Jordan, George (Elaine) Jordan, Cherish Jordan, Betty J. (Loreno) Leodey, Gloria J. (Rev. Aldren) Sadler, William (Mary Ann) Jordan, Lorenzo (Ann) Jordan and William (Francine) Billingsalea, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and two godchildren Sandra L. Deen, and Tonya (Thomas) Adams.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Lillie Taylor, and Addie Travis; and two brothers, Larry and Henry Jordan. Friends may call from 12 noon to 1 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
