William Lewis Reeves

William L. Reeves-William Lewis Reeves affectionately known as "Big William" trasitioned to his heavenly home on Sunday December 6, 2015. He was born in Attalia, AL., the third child to Beatrice Branch and Buster Reeves on March 29, 1937. Calling hours will be held at 11 am, with home going services immediately following at 12 noon Monday December 14, 2015 at the F. D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. 511 W. Rayen Ave, Youngstown. He leaves to mourn his memory his siblings; Robert Reeves of Youngstown, Arma Jean (James) Archie and Vernon "BoJack" (Queenie) Reeves of Las Vegas, his children; Lynette Howell, Tanya Reeves, Chandra Osagie, Beatrice Gibson, Donna (Artie) Sanders, William (Donna) Reeves II, Guerino "Manny" Thomas, and George Thomas; his children with heart; Niya Merriweather and Harold Rampert, 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, his former wife; Loretta Campbell Reeves, and a large extended family of loving nieces and nephews incluiding a special niece "Tisha" LaKeisha Anderson. At the time of his death, William had been enjoying retirement after years of service with Construction Labor Local 935, Warren. He started his day daily with the reading of the Bible. He was active in the union serving many years in leadership, including president, executive board member, and shop steward. He loved to discuss the organized labor movement, football, and spending time with his best buddies; Rev. Robert Stringer and Bill Tripplet. He was active in real estate rehabilitations throughout his adult life, He also had several businesses including owning and operating taxi cabs, and auto reupholster services. He was a member of the New Freedom Missionary Church of Warren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters; Christine Reid and Ernestine Wiggins and his first wife, Alice (Hyshaw) Williams, beloved sister-in-law; Betty Davis Reeves, and great granddaughter Essence Jones.
