Willie Hockaday-Bey-Funeral services will be Tuesday October 13, 2015 at 1 pm at Temple Emmanuel Seventh-Day Adventist Church for Mrs. Willie "Jean" Love Hockaday-Bey who departed this life on Thursday October 8, 2015 in St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center. Mrs. Bey was born July 5, 1947 to James Cummings and Estella McNeal Cummings Bender. Jean attended East High School.  She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Temple Emmanuel Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She married William Love and moved to Washington, DC where she was employed with the DC Lottery Board and the CORE of Engineers. Jean was an entrepreneur as a owner-operator of a laundramat in Washington, DC. She was an excellent cook and with a Christian spirit would feed and care for anyone who graced her door. She leaves to cherish her memories her parents: Estella McNeal Bender of Youngstown and James Cummings of Buffalo, NY, 5 sons: William"Jahi" Cummings of Buffalo, NY.,Melvin (Tamika) Love, Corey (LaToya) Love of Washington, DC., Chaz Bunch, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 6 sisters: Cynthia Taylor of Zion, IL., Bobbie (Glen) Reynolds, Debra Bundy of Youngstown, Oh., Ramona Cummings of Coral Springs, FL., Tremeeka (Brian) Norman of Buffalo, NY., 3 aunts, 1 uncle, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. she was preceded in death by her son: Darren Love, 3 brothers: Gearge McNeal, Percy Cummings and Archielles Cummings. Friends may call from 12:30 pm to 1 pm today at the church. Arrangements are being handled by the F. D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home.
