Ms. Willie Mae Johnson, 90, Youngstown departed this life on November 5, 2021 at Mercy Health Center.
Ms. Johnson was born December 28, 1930 in Evergreen, Alabama a daughter of Minnie Ivey. She worked for Northside Hospital Medical Center/ Forum Health for 26 years when she retired. She enjoyed doing landscaping in her front and back yards along with the adjacent lots connected to her property. She also enjoyed doing her word search books, reading her bible, participating with her bible study group, cooking and spending time with her family.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her four daughters; Sandra and Vickie Johnson, Marquerite (L. C.) Drummond all of Youngstown, Regina Johnson of Columbus, a son Raymond Johnson of Youngstown, a sister; Pearlie Mae Bosley, a niece; Ondrea of Nashville, TN., 2 nephews; James of Louisiana and Larry of Tennessee, sister-in-law; Agnes Thomas and a niece Serita Thomas of Columbus, 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband William "Toby", 3 sons; Timothy, William "Ponnie" and David, a brother; William "Buddy" Thomas, a sister; Annie Ruth Godfrey, nieces; Minnie Veasey and Sonya Caldwell, and a great-grandson; Julius Tate.
Funeral service will be Friday, November 19, 2021 at 12 noon at Union Baptist Church. Friends may call from 11 am to 12 noon on Friday at the church.
